Portugal set up a semi-final date with the Czech Republic at the U20 European Championship Women Division B as they edged out Israel 60-54.
Portugal pulled away late on after Israel had closed to within three, 51-48, with under four minutes to go.
A quick spurt had them up 56-48 with 1:24 to go and there was no way back for Israel.
Michelle Brandao led Portugal with 16 points while Daniela Domingues had 12 and 16 rebounds.
The Czechs advanced with a somewhat more straightforward 67-42 thrashing of Bulgaria, taking a huge early lead and never looking back.
They used a balanced attack, with only two players scoring in double figures as Petra Zaplatova collected 11 points and Andrea Sladkova 10.
Sweden and Greece will contest the other semi-final.
